The first wave - wave ISP
The first wave of Web hosting started mid-1990s. At the time, it has really many companies of web hosting. Web hosting, has been a part of the operation of the ISP (Internet Service Provider). Within two years, the number of Internet service providers had grown from a few dozen to a few thousand to only United States. Many analysts assumed that the consolidation of the ISP industry was inevitable. But analysts not paid much attention in the future of web hosting. Web hosting for ISPs clients were most of the small and medium-sized organizations, who could not offer to have dedicated Internet connection.
The second wave — a wave Hosting Plan
As large telecommunications carriers enter the ISP industry and the strength of broadband in the commercial and residential buildings, the few leading ISP, such as AOL had caught residential users of small business of the ISP and telecom companies had stolen or acquired commercial clients of ISP companies small or regional. Due to the economy of scale, the ISPs could not compete with AOL, Comcast or Qwest for the Internet connection service. Most ISP companies have disappeared as soon as they have emerged.

Unlike the Web hosting service of the ISP, which is often customized for each customer in one way or another, the idea of a hosting plan has helped increase the customer base of a few hundred to hundreds of thousands to a few leading hosting companies a few years. New web hosting companies do not offer Internet connection service at all. It is incredible that the first ISP companies had tried to never turn into hosting companies to survive the inevitable consolidation of the ISP industry.
The third wave - accommodation Plan for users
Experienced webmasters can easily configure a new Web site in minutes with one of their preferred accommodation companies. New hosting plan will be formulated in terms of what can be done to allow customers, instead of technical words.
Hosting industry currently enjoys healthy growth in the global economy and revives the computer industry. It is too early to see the tide of the third wave of hosting Web now. If the first and the second wave of the Web a jet of water were pushed by the beginning of a new economic cycle, the entry of the third wave may be not an exception either.
