Is there such a thing as free Hosting?

Is there such a thing as free website hosting? The answer to this question is more along the lines of, it depends.
When websites opened up to the brave souls to begin their photos and views onto the web in General, there were actually a large amount of companies that offer free website hosting. Unfortunately, a good majority of them changed either their free hosting to paid hosting or their services have completely shut down. Currently there are only a few sites that still offer free hosting.
These free versions are only limited in features, usually only with the base to begin with, maybe a website, depending on what the site will include. On some sites you will get a free domain name and free webhosting; However, you cannot choose the domain name unless you purchase, and you need to buy a domain name to use email accounts with your domain name or use a free e-mail account.
Other free web hosting sites offer only a certain amount of space that you can use, only offering 20 MB for all your files and documents that will be used for your site. That gives not much space for you to expand the Web site or more robust features to add. Also, you can't use your choice of website design programmes; many of these sites can only use their own program.
There is also the consideration of what your website will result. Most personal sites will be more benefit from the use of a free webhost than that of a small business or corporate. This is because for personal websites, they are a reflection of the designer, perhaps presentation of a world trip or of a child or a special graduation ceremony. If you have only a small amount of material for your site, a free one with free hosting work well.
Certainly if you plan on launching a business website or a professional website, you should definitely consider going with a paid version of webhosting. Of course, there are several companies that offer paid hosting. Paid hosting offers a lot more in diversity and adaptation than that of a free host. An advantage is the ability to choose from your own domain name (if it isn't already taken). Most hosting sites will provide the means in which to choose and pay for a domain name, they even that as part of their services, can offer so you don't have to pay two separate entities.
Another advantage is the ability to choose how much space you need. 5 GB is usually the cheaper option, with the ability to go to at least a terabyte of space for all your files, documents, and all the media that you plan on placing on the site itself.
